In 2020 I gave up drawing by hand and passed it to the machine to see what would happen. It was a risky decision and I’m still not sure how deeply it’s altered me. I’m looking at how I bring my own hand back to drawing with the machine in a way that doesn’t feel like a regression. It’s proving to be surprisingly tricky. I’m pushing the machine towards greater autonomy and working alongside.
